The mission of the Sumner County Sheriff's Office is to service the people of Sumner County in an honest, courteous and responsible manner; To provide the citizens of this county with protection and confidence in the ability and integrity of the Sumner County Sheriff's Office; and to promote goodwill and cooperation between the Sumner County Sheriff's Office and it's fellow law enforcement agencies.
SERVICE
We are here for the benefit of the Sumner County community. Our purpose is to provide aid and assistance to the people of this county in a fair, firm and impartial manner. We are professionals and should never fail to exhibit the appearance and behavior of a professional.
INTEGRITY
We should adhere to a standard of values that demands we be honest and always "do the right thing". True character is best displayed when honesty and decency is exercised despite the instinctive temptation to compromise one's principles. To live by such a creed, in a united manner, can earn nothing but the respect of our community and fellow officers.

We are charged with the duty and obligation to be trusted and depended upon to make moral and rational decisions, free from any undue influence. We are answerable to the citizens of Sumner County for the trust they have placed in us and carry that burden, not only for ourselves, but for our agency as a whole.
